Our children grow in a loving safe environment and are well prepared for school.
At SSP Home Child Care: We believe all children deserve the best possible start in life, and that every child needs to be nurtured, loved, and respected. We offer age-appropriate activities and an educational curriculum that supports and encourages a child’s desire to learn, while enhancing values and self-esteem.
Our Environment: The multi-age grouping of children creates a family atmosphere in a safe and loving Christian home. Our nurturing and relaxed environment is self-concepts are enhanced, independence is encouraged, social skills are acquired and individuality can be respected. A wide variety of educational activities are provided within a preschool curriculum that includes outdoor fun, free time to explore, and playtime; all of which are provided within a structured routine where fun and cooperative play are encouraged.
Meals: Children are provided breakfast, lunch, and a snack every day. They enjoy a variety of delicious meals which always include vegetables and fruits. Nutritious snacks are given in late afternoon. Children are also encouraged to practice good manners.
Hygiene: Children are taught and encouraged to use good hygiene by learning how to wash their hands before and after meals, as well as after outdoor play, lavatory use, and sneezing or coughing. Any parent wishing to bring a tooth brush to be used after meals is also welcome.
Licensing Capacity and Training: The home day care has been inspected and licensed to a capacity of 6 children. The provider is trained in Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, blood borne pathogens, and “Keeping Infants Sleeping Safe.” The provider continues in her early childhood training by attending seminars, workshops, and completing distance learning modules. Continual early childhood education classes keep us up to date for offering your child the best care.
Home Security: All doors are kept locked at the day care home. All parents are required to sign in and out each day. If someone, other than parent, needs to pick up your child, then notification must be submitted in advance. The person picking up must be listed on the Child Information Card and provide a valid driver’s license confirming their identity before your child is released into their care. An important factor with our in-home care is that we have complete control over the people who come and go for your child’s protection.
